The California State Summer School for the Arts: four weeks of exploration, discovery and hard work designed to unleash a teen's creative power.

The CSSSA site features an interactive Web form that high school students can use to apply to the school. Students who are short on time can use an auto e-mailer, which will e-mail ASCII forms and information to the student. Those that are borrowing a computer can submit a request for information to be sent to them the old-fashioned way - by snail mail. The site also features outstanding graphics, extensive information on each of the available courses, and a student gallery. This site has been showcased on the BBC.

Proctor-Willenbacher worked closely with both the designer, Barbara Ziller, and the staff of CSSSA to create a site that could disseminate and collect information in a way that would save both applicants and staff members time and paper. The design was submitted as QuarkXpress and Illustrator files and converted to a Web-friendly medium. There are plans to expand this site and update it on a yearly basis.
